Wife with the wallet, husband makes the money.
This is quite popular in many TV shows where they show the woman managing all the finances and purse while the husband made the money. I often found that cliche, but being in married life, it turned out that I managed the finances quite well and became a cliche myself.
I started managing it when I realized my husband wasn't making proper payments on time, or even knew how much he was making. That surprised me the most. "How can you not know how much money you're making?" - me
"I just work. I'm too busy to check." -him
"..."
After checking military website that was "paying" him, I realized that they made a mistake and was paying to the wrong bank! We weren't even getting the money! There was a back log of about 7 months of pay. This is one of my first memories of shock and I fixed the issue quickly. I now file our taxes with the highest savings possible through itemized deductions, invest our money in multiple investments and research companies (as I can now read and understand the investor reports), and have paid attention to the current economy to reap the most benefit.
Through the process, I learned I had a knack for finance and managing money. I am intent on finishing my business management and accounting degree, work for a few years, then go into MBA school for investment analysis or business administration.

Men are so blah. Besides my husband.
I have never really found an interest in men. I've always wondered why..
They could be model quality and quite handsome, but even then I'd think mmm..nice pecs. Great looking eyes and chiseled face.
But that's it. No sexual thoughts, whatsoever. Rather, it is an admiration of human aesthetics.Sometimes I wonder if I'm lesbian because my attraction to men is so staggeringly low. There's nothing wrong with them at all. I appreciate good looks and great personality.
Exceptions:
In my life, there was only about 3 men that I felt sexually attracted to.
One of them is my husband. The others were in my young 20s. They know who they are, because I told them this (they were my friends): "You know, you are one of the very few men I have ever been attracted to."When I think about what they had in comparison to the other men I never felt attracted to, they had these qualities:
Very smart.
Nice.
Tall.
Asian.

Salted Fish Fried Rice
I am a fan of Chinese style fried rice, especially the one with salted fish.
However, after coming over to the Midwest, finding Asian goods have been especially rare and difficult. As a result, I could not cook my favorite foods. Salted, fermented fish is sold in Asian markets.
I decided to try a substitute, and found this to be surprisingly (!) similar in taste:
King Oscar: Flat Fillets In Olive Oil Anchovies, 2 Oz

Make sure you check the ingredients and "Salt" is found. Also when buying the anchovies, avoid any other spices or ingredients (tomatoes, basil, etc.) in there. All you want is olive oil, SALT, and the anchovies.
Prepare fried rice as usual (avoid carrots, sausages, other meats, and any other ingredient beside the basic fried rice recipe). Add salted fish and thinly shredded lettuce for texture when eating. Make sure you use slightly dry rice that crumbles easily (not moist), or the rice will come out sticky and glutinous.

"Diamonds are a girl's best friend" - I think not.
I've always wondered what the buzz about diamonds were. They're expensive and shiny but a complete waste of money, and has little utility value.
Even if I was in a rich, elite society, I am perfectly OK not flaunting or showing my "class" through ridiculously priced rocks that come out of the Earth. Some of these diamonds may be illegal blood diamonds. The profits from those diamonds feed war, gangs, and suffering in other countries. Even if it was legal, I wouldn't buy it. I think jewelry is beautiful as long as it is cheap.
People might make the statement that they have a "rare" colored gem or diamond that only a few have. Don't you know that's a result of marketing to make it feel valuable and special? Anything can become valuable once you hype it up. Instead of colored diamonds being rejects for not being white, how about making it even worthier by saying it's ultra-rare! That's what Tiffany's and Co. is touting: http://www.tiffany.com/About/TheTiffanyStory/#p+1-n+6-cg+-c+-s+-r+-t+-ri+-ni+1-x+-pu+-f+/2/1/5
If you want to feel rare and special, I believe that should be honed with skill and power, and come from within...not through a show of what items you have. Besides, cubic zirconia is very similar to a diamond.

Ah, but the ever so popular diamond engagement ring. To show that you "love" a woman, you should purchase a special gem. Barf. Results of Marketing. I must give them credit though. What's-his-face did a fantastic job being an enduring monopoly of diamonds.......oh now I remember his name, "DE BEERS."
De Beers is a Swiss-based company controlled by a South African corporation, which produces 45% of the world's cut diamonds and purchases for resale a good number of rough diamonds from miners around the world. They market about 55% of the world's diamonds. To keep a monopoly, De Beers sold only a certain quantity of diamonds to the world, no matter how many diamonds it mined or purchased, to keep the monopoly price. When demand fell, De Beers reduced its supply so that the price could be maintained. If you're wondering how that works, draw a rough Supply & Demand curve. Actually, I'll just do it for you:

Graph 1 Graph 2
In Graph 1, the supply and demand curve intersect in the middle. Use your finger and point at the intersection, then move it to the left until you hit the Y-axis, labeled "Price." Notice that in Graph 2, the intersection of S2 and D2 has the same price. This is achievable by shifting the supply curve. When demand has lowered, the demand curve shifts, because at every point on the demand curve people are demanding less at a certain price. So De Beers, in an attempt to maintain the same price, shifts the supply curve to the left by reducing the supply being sold at every price.
If you want to show your loved wife-to-be that you care, give her a cruise or a simple gold band.

Gay rights

I believe that banning gay marriage in California is unconstitutional because it goes against the substantive due process and the Equal Protection Clause (everyone has the constitutional right for equality under the law). My reasons are stated below:
Both the 4th and 14th Amendment provides that no person shall be deprived of "life, liberty, or property, without due process of law."
Due process of law has two aspects:
1) Procedural due process - any gov. decision to take life, liberty, or property must be made fairly.
2) Substantive due process - Substantive due process protects all rights from deprivation without rational basis - that is to say, the Government may not burden exercise of a right without having a reason for doing so. Legislation must be fair and reasonable in content and must further a legitimate governmental objective. If a law or other governmental action limits a fundamental right, the state must have a legitamate and compelling interest to justify its action. Fundamental rights include interstate travel, privacy, voting, MARRIAGE AND FAMILY, AND ALL FIRST AMENDMENT RIGHTS.
Does the national government have more power than the state government in terms of exercising due process?
Gay people have the right to marry because first of all, they are people and no person shall be deprived [...] without due process of law. Assuming they received due process of law, gay people have fundamental rights to marriage. Same-Sex marriage was passed in California in early 2008. But soon thereafter, Prop 8 (titled"Eliminates Right of Same-Sex Couples to Marry Act") passed, which was an amendment to the California state constitution so that marriage is defined as "only between one man and one woman." Because the definition of marriage was changed, the previous ruling that stated same sex couples had the constitutional rights to marry was overturned.

Nutrition Bits

Folate and Vitamin B12.
Whether you're planning to have a baby, or married and actively engaging in sex, invest in getting enough folate and vitamin B12. They are used in cell reproduction, especially in large amounts during pregnancy. During the early weeks of pregnancy, the neural tube closes and forms the brain and spinal cord later on. Usually around the 6th week of pregnancy, the neural tube has closed. If it did not close successfully, a neural tube defect (NTD) occurs. The brain fails to grow, and infants come out with anencephaly - a baby with no brain and missing a skull. -
The Search for the Smoothest Ballpoint Pen
Smoothness: The higher this number, the easier it is to write clean, beautiful and bold lines.
- Low (0 points)
- Light Average (1 points)
- Average (2 points)
- High Average (3 point)
- High (4 points)
Ink flow: If this is "high" then ink is bleeding into the paper or blotching. "Average" is your standard pen. "Low" means the ink doesn't flow that well, resulting in open lines that are *not* bold and thin, sometimes a shallow lack of connection between lines (due to ink stopping or low ink flow).
Ink flow rankings:- Low - ink doesn't flow that well; sometimes a shallow lack of connection between lines (due to ink stopping or low ink flow). Ink is low enough to make the black color come out grey instead. (0 points)
- Light Average - Comes out blackish grey. (2 point)
- Average - standard pen (3 points)
- High Average - perfect (4 points)
- High - Thick ink lines and some stickiness, smears due to high ink flow. May be some blotching. (1 points)
Pressure Required to Write: The higher the rating, the harder it is to get the ink out to write a bold line. More pressure is needed to attain the bold line that some other pens would require less effort to do.
Pressure rankings:- Low (4 points)
- Light Average (3 points)
- Average (2 points)
- High Average (1 point)
- High (0 points)
Overall Rating: Overall rating.
The highest points that you can attain in each section is 4. There are 3 sections, for a total of 12 points. The total tally is added up and divided by 12.
